HISTORY

The history of Classico Caffè Circi began in 1928, the year of the creation of Michele Circi's first mixture of coffee which was served in Rome.
Since then the success of his blends has been uninterrupted. In 1932, the roasting facility which was becoming expanding, was transferred to Corso Vittorio Emanuele, in the heart of Rome. With the progressive increase of production and the need for modern and bigger machineries, in 1959 the factory moved to Via Emanuele Filiberto.
In 1981, Classico Caffè Circi acquired the historic and exclusive brand of a Nineteenth Century Roman Coffee, "Caffè Perù" settling definitely in a modern and large factory on Via Prenestina. Following this, in 1989 the prestigious Iacocaffè brand, undisputed leader in Rome's Ostia sea coast area, was added to the line.
Today, Piero Circi, Michele's son, is at the helm of the factory, together with the third generation of the family i.e. his sons Michele, Massimo and Marco.
In 1998, the year of the celebration of its seventieth birthday, Classico Caffè Circi obtained the ISO 9002 Certification; the prestigious quality certificate recognized at the European level that guarantees strict and rigorous controls in every phase of the production process.
